The countdown

Hi! The last time I wrote in a blog was March 2007, about a month before I came home from India. (http://emarieindia.blogspot.com/). 4 years and a college degree later, I am starting over, this time to write about my adventures as a Peace Corps Health Volunteer in Madagascar...

This process began for me almost a year ago. Here's a timeline to catch you up!

September 23, 2010: Recommendation letters submitted (thank you, Jason and Marjorie!)

October 1, 2010: Turned in my application!! (After leaving for Indiana for a tournament, realizing the time difference would cause me to miss the midnight deadline, and making my car pull over to a random hotel and convince the front desk to let me connect to the internet... thanks WUWU!)

October 13, 2010: Submitted my fingerprints and a million surveys about diet, significant other status, religion, etc.

November 9, 2010: Had first interview with my regional recruiting officer from Chicago.
